London, 28 Weeks Later...

28 Days Later, one of the better horror films of recent times, features some amazing footage of a completely deserted central London. That film is set the eponymous time period after the outbreak of a virus that enrages its hosts, turning them into violent zombies.

The sequel is released on May 11... set 28 weeks after the outbreak of the virus that decimated the UK's population. All the infected are now dead. The Americans arrive, setting up camp in Canary Wharf, with a mission to reboot and repopulate the capital. The plan goes horribly wrong when the virus resurfaces.

I'm looking forward to 28 Weeks Later. I'm expecting lots of London locations... some nice parallels to Iraq, with empire-building Americans, and the breakdown of the society they create... and lots of suspense and zombie gore along the way. A hi-res version of the trailer is located here at Apple.
